Laughable, pathetic, ridculous. Come on Outlaw - Keep it plausable!!!
<<<< Gossip is a way of life in a Kingdom Hall >>>>
Correction - gossip is a way of life IN LIFE. So because some gossiped thats it - the entire organisation 6.7 million are just rejected.
I am not saying gossip is a good thing, far from it, but once again, Outlaw - Come on - what are you, a baby?
I am trying to inject a bit of serious discussion here - your not helping.

Divorce are going down - quite right.
But so are marriages - the % ratio of divorce to marriage (in britain at least) is worse than ever.

To Mrs Smith
I do not count my time here.
Why do I post here? Hmm, not sure. I think to defend the truth, though it does appear to be a waste of time to try this with those who have already "in my opinion" opted to give up.
Mrs Smith - Why do you post here? Nothing better to do????
I know that The Faithful Slave are certainly not keen for brothers and sisters to come to such forums due to the negative effect it could have on their faith.
It is a strange situation but when I come here i feel my faith strengthened, you and your friends lack continuity in argument and credability. I see no great "freedom" attained by abandoning the truth.
And regarding another poster who said he found it "funny" when I said Jehovahs Witnesses have a high moral standing - It is this type of statement that makes this entire forum lose any plausable argument. You can disagree with what we teach / believe but please have the sense and courtesy to acknowledge the good aspects of us. The majority of religions have abandoned Gods view on morals - has this made the world a better place? Teen pregnancy, Divorce rates up, gay unions / marriages and abortions - these are the reality of such a dismissive view of Jehovahs high standards.
Giving s very general viewpoint -
The conditions in this world we live in are declining continually - now surely everyone on this forum accepts this????
We are clearly heading for a crunch point in the near future. If not terrorists it will be climate change, something major and significant is on the horizon that will trigger a cataclysm of events. Some people who have no association with Jehovahs Witnesses feel this way as well.
For me - this means I stay on this side of the fence

Wow Wow Wow!!!!! Slow down guys and dolls!
There is enough info here for about 30 different threads!!!!
There is a lot of repition of points in the posts!!! Many are clearly prepared for such a question!!!
I have said this before on this forum - the vast majority of your qoutes are from 60, 70 years ago and even older than that on a few cases. Those who question the organisation tend to fall into 2 categories - had a bad experience or get hung up on 80 year old articles.
Also a few of the articles qouted are not changes of any significance. (The Watchtower re: Generation will not pass away.)
The core point is the same, it is the understanding of the word generation which has changed. For JWs this was not anything of significance.
Despite all of this - where else can we go to have a verse by verse explanation of Revelation - Daniel, Ezekiel etc. Who else could truly claim to be preaching worldwide? What about the high moral standard displayed by Jehovahs people. No involvement in war or politics.
These and other points identify Jehovahs Witnesses as as his true followers.
I shall return later to read our comments - I am at work after all - I better do something.

To Fullofdoubtnow.
You site many examples but many of these if not all of them could be explained.
I agree their has been some left to right and back again on " a few" things. A desire to do the right thing is the motive for such.
One you mention is the understanding of Blood and Blood fractions. Technology and advances in medicine are one contributing factor in this.
The key understandings are not changed. A clearer picture starts to emerge.

<< There are cases where the Society taught one way changed it to a different understanding because of "New Light"..but then went back to the original statement. That would be going backwards instead of "gradually" teaching.>>
Could you provide an example??
I am not aware of such a situation, or if it has happened it must have been fairly minor.
And even if it has happened, does that undermine all teachings of Jehovahs People?
Of course not.

Why the need for New Light???
Jehovah has always "gradually" revealed his purpose to mankind.
John was given the Revelation - but did he understand it all? No. Why?
He did not need to know.
Everything is decent and by arrangement - accuracy of understanding progresses - with the passing of time.
